Interesting comparison with McCarthy. Turns out, in retrospect, that he was absolutely correct about the communists in the Federal Government. The names on his list later turned up in classified documents that the Soviets released after the fall of communism. I wonder what else history will vindicate?

Osama bin Laden didn't personally murder anyone either. Neither did Charles Manson. How does Ayers not personally placing the bombs make him any less complicit in the murders? He knew the bombs were being built and he knew what they were going to be used for.

My only solace is in knowing that a special place in hell awaits Ayers and those who would defend him, including our democratic presidential nominee and his caring and compassionate bride. I realize most of them don't believe in the concept, though I doubt that will help them much once they realize their mistake.

I can't believe that anyone would ever defend the actions of a "pig" like Ayers and his "pig" wife Dohrn. These people should have been given the death penalty for their actions against The United States of America! Blowing up our buildings and trying to kill innocent lives. It sounds like the 911 terrorists plot and tragedy against our country. How dare any person, teacher or other ever come to the rescue of these terrorists Ayer and Dohrn. Face it Obama lovers that Obama used everybody in his path to get to where he is today. Nothing mattered to him because he throws everybody under the bus after getting where and what he wants. He threw Rev. Wright under the bus along with Ayers, Father Phleger, Tony Rezko. Obama even threw his own white grandmother under the bus calling her a typical white woman afraid of Black men. Obama has used the race card more than everyone! Obama can not ever explain his ways instead he blames the people for questioning his past relationships with these "bad" people. Listen up America and especially you teachers....Obama is bad for this country and he has his own liberal agenda. Look at his record and that speaks for itself. Has Mr. Obama done anything for Illinois while he has been a Senator? Why him? What the hell does change and hope mean if it is loosing our America! I do not trust Obama with my America....no way. No Obama! Ayers and Obama were pals and the last laugh will be Obama's if he gets in you stupid liberals!

Absolutely hilarious given that there's no place in American where "orthodoxy, dogma, and mindless complacency" etc are more in evidence than in academia. And I suspect it could be worst of all in departments/schools of education.

By all means. Let's have a national debate over whether it was appropriate for Obama to siphon $100 million intended to improve black kids' education to lefty hate groups teaching them to hate other races instead. So they had no measurable educational improvement.

And let's have a debate over "appropriate" education. It's amazing how many academics are attempting to hold Mugabe's and Hugo Chavez' water, still today.

"[C]haracter assassination and slander of Bill Ayers" is an oxymoron. He's like Lenny "The Quahog" Paradiso, the Boston serial killer who sued someone for libel. The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that the Quahog was libel-proof, as it was impossible for anyone to make him look worse than he was.
